After The Storm

“After the Storm” by Kali Uchis featuring Tyler, The Creator, inspired me to make a short animation to their song. I made my animatic in Procreate to get a better idea of my pacing. Making the overall pacing of the animation match the beat of the music makes it more fluid. Then, when animating in After Effects, I made my visual elements in Adobe Illustrator to give it a nice, clean look. The color palette is inspired by the sun coming out after a storm, as well as the Isolation album cover, from which the song originates.
